I wrote this one day after a discussion with my brother Gord. I dedicate this thought to him and may his life and “your” life always be a manifestation of the greater good.
Meditation (focused concentration) on getting things for ourselves for the purposes of comfort, security, pride, a sense of accomplishment is a very immature use of the true power within us.
Think of anything you do as affecting the people in the next lives (karma) and pray and meditate that your concept best serve the world and its people who all struggle for the same thing: happiness, purpose and freedom from pain.
Consider releasing the project (your life, your work, your efforts in your family) to the universe and work diligently in a direction to which you feel guided to work, but ask deeply for IT to be done through you (not because of you).
This is a mature use of the soul within us and brings quicker alignment to a vision that is usually bigger than the one we have in our head. I mean who can really know what is the best use of your life, your project or your skills. Life has a much bigger manifestation for us but we are usually stopping it by petty wishes for comfort in our physical lives (money and success).
Let positive loving thoughts predominate your thinking at all times. Quiet the ego and give your amazing talents to the universe to use and true happiness is yours for the taking. Did you know that the universe never gives us a big garden to tend to when we can’t tend to a small corner that is given to us every day from a loving heart and a sense of service.
I got this emailed to me today, so I don’t know where the original source of the photo came from. So wherever credits are due, I give them. What a great little joke.

dog agility training is both challenging and fun. Whether you are doing it for plain fun or for serious competition, it is one of the most fulfilling activities for schedule for training and exercises for the both the dog and his human handler. We usually see in agility trials pets competing in timed off-leash courses with their human companions.
The instruction of puppy agility is based roughly on the training platform of equestrian show jumping competitions. This type of dog agility competitions take its roots on the first show competition at the Crufts Pet Show held in England in 1979. It started out as fun for trainers and an audience but later shifted to become a competition event as more and more pet lovers and handlers became interested in it.
Dog agility training uses some essential equipment that includes several obstacles such as tunnels, weave poles, jumps, A-frames, see-saws and pet walks. These are simple equipment made out of inexpensive and light materials and are generally for short term use. Resources for your own backyard dog agility training are in abundance and you can also purchase ready-to-use equipment which is generally cheap. You can also create your own toys by using easy-to-follow instructions in building obstacles utilizing common materials like PVC pipes. However, you should try to follow standard design used in regular competition in order to achieve the best results from the agility training of your pet dog.
In regular dog agility competitions, the obstacles used are arranged in a different arrangement configurations and sequences for every levels of the competition. Man and his best friend are allowed to negotiate the course for familiarization prior to actual competition. All competitors are allowed to use hand and verbal signals to guide their dogs through the competition course but cannot touch their pets or the equipment in whatever way possible. The levels of difficulty of the obstacle course are different and it is dependent on the level of competition. Thus, the competing dogs are grouped into classes prior to actual competition based on the height of the dogs. The height of the equipment used in the obstacle course is based on the competition class in which the shortest dogs in each class are entered into.
Whatever is your reason for training your dog, this activity you share with your pet can bring you lots of fun and excitement. However, most find the participation in agility competitions as the finished result for long amounts of time spent in agility training for both the dog and the handler. The training itself takes time and good results are attained only with the right amount of patience and persistence of both the dog and the handler. The dog and the handler must be in good shape before they begin the dog agility training as they are required to put great amount of time in training all possible configurations of the obstacle course. In order to receive the most from the agility training, monitor closely the performance of your dog making sure that you do not push too hard during training. You should remember that this training is first and foremost a fun activity for you and your pet dog.
When the dog digging is out of control, it’s difficult to stay calm. After all, just because you own a dog, it doesn’t mean that you don’t want to enjoy your garden or have a yard that is free of holes. Unfortunately, some dogs seem to feel that all yards should have as many craters as the moon!
It’s important to arm yourself with effective techniques to stop dog digging before you feel as though you’ll lose your mind entirely. You might have reached the point where you feel you’ve simply tried everything and you’re at the end of your rope. However, there is certain to be a few techniques left that you’ve yet to try to become successful.
The best way to stop dog digging is to begin by understanding why it is happening in the first place. To obtain this information, watch your dog and observe what seems to be going on when the digging starts.
There are two major causes that make a pet begin dog digging: loneliness and boredom. These problems can both be cured with the same solutions. Give your dog lots of attention on a daily basis, and play with him or her, including games that you both enjoy together. There will be times when you can’t be there or that you’re busy, so be sure that your dog has toys with which to entertain him or herself.
Of course, if there is something interesting going on in the neighbor’s yard, it may also be causing the dog digging. Many things could be attracting your dog, such as children, food, or activities and smells on the other side of the fence. In that case, you might want to lay some bricks down along the ground in the offending areas to discourage the behavior.
If you’re discovering that there seem to be dog digging holes everywhere in the yard without a discernable pattern, your dog may have excess energy. Try adding another walk to your daily routine with your dog – or simply take a longer route on the walk you’re already enjoying. You may also add other activities that will burn energy including fetch, Frisbee, and other fun games.
You can also work to decrease your dog’s interest in some of the specific places by adding a sprinkle of cayenne pepper or red pepper to the favorite dog digging spots. You could also bang a pot every time the behavior begins. Sometimes being squirted with water can also be all the added deterrent your dog needs.
You should never let the small issue grow into a huge problem. Many times we are faced with situations when several methods to stop dog digging simply don’t work. Instead loosing hope for ever changing dog digging behavior issue, you better search for professional training that specializes in solving dog behavior problems.
